Abstract: The sum formula proved by Granville around 1996 is a decomposition of a Riemann zeta value into multiple zeta values of the same depth and weight. In our new decomposition of Riemann zeta values of odd arguments, the multiple zeta values appear having different depths and some of them having arguments contain one 3 and the rest 2. It can be used to evaluate multiple zeta values with arguments contain one 3 and the rest 2. Also some special zeta star values with arguments 1 or 2 can be evaluated explicitly.
