Abstract: D-bar problems appear in the inverse scattering theory for some integrable 2+1 dimensional equations as Davey-Stewartson and Kadomtsev-Petviasvili, and in electrical impedance tomography. We discuss spectral approaches to d-bar problems, i.e., numerical methods where the numerical error decreases exponentially with the resolution. We consider the case of potentials in the Schwartz class and with compact support on a disk.
