Overview
Academia Sinica, located in Taipei, Taiwan, is the national academy and the leading research institution of Taiwan. The Institute of Mathematics, Academia Sinica is seeking outstanding mathematicians in all fields of mathematics for appointments beginning August 2023 or sooner, at the levels specified below. All positions are research-oriented with no teaching duties.

Research Fellows
These (tenured or tenure-track) positions are offered at the rank of assistant, associate, full, and distinguished research fellow. Candidates must be established mathematicians with strong track records in research.

Institute Research Scholars
These positions are for young mathematicians with extraordinary potential. Candidates must have received their Ph.D. degrees within six years as of August 2023. The appointment is for 3+2 years and is not renewable.

Postdoctoral Positions
These positions are for mathematicians who have received their Ph.D. degrees within five years as of August 2023. The appointment is for 2+1 years and is not renewable.

Deadline
The Institute Hiring Committee will start reviewing the applications on November 1st, 2022. To receive full consideration, applications should be submitted before December 1st, 2022, but applications may be reviewed on a “rolling basis” until the positions are filled.
