Abstract: |
The LG/CY correspondence is a (conjectural) relationship between two curve counting theories associated to a homogeneous polynomial F:
- the Gromov-Witten theory of the projective hypersurface defined by F
- the Fan-Jarvis-Ruan-Witten theory of the affine singularity defined by F
In my talk, I will start by reviewing the two theories and the correspondence. Then, I will talk about a program "log GLSM" (logarithmic gauged linear sigma model) and how to it to prove the all genus LG/CY correspondence in the case of quintic threefolds. This is based on joint works (some of which in progress) with Q. Chen, S. Guo and Y.
