Title :	An Heisenberg-Weyl approach to generating functions of special functions

Abstract:	We show that certain generating functions from classical special functions can be better understood from solving holonomic systems of PDEs. Indeed, we show that some classical analytic work of Lommel, Schläfli-Sonine and Glaisher (all from 19th century) on Bessel functions are algebraic in nature under D-modules framework. Their natural difference analogues will be presented from this study. When time allows, we shall discuss of their q-difference analogues.
