Abstract: We discuss recent results of phase retrieval with on-off sensors. One-bit measurements produce the least amount of information. Yet for sufficiently large random measurement matrices, theoretical guarantee for accurate reconstruction with 1-bit measurements can be proved. This has important applications, including coherent diffractive imaging.
