Abstract: A surface parameterization is a bijective mapping between the surface and a domain of simple shape. It has been widely applied to carry out 3D image processing tasks, such as surface remeshing, registration, rendering, and alignment. In this talk, I will introduce an efficient numerical algorithm for the computation of surface conformal parameterization, and demonstrate applications to 3D animation and medical image visualization.
