Title: Sheaves on derived spaces
Time: 2020-12-24 (Thu.)  15:30 - 16:30
Place: Auditorium, 6 Floor, Institute of Mathematics (NTU Campus)
Abstract: Sheaves and their cohomology are fundamental in the study of spaces in topology as well as algebraic and analytic geometry. In the last few decades, new developments like Gromov-Witten theory have motivated mathematicians to study certain kinds of generalized spaces, called "derived stacks", that arise from moduli problems. I will explain how sheaf theory, when extended to this setting, gives new methods of studying various moduli problems in algebraic and symplectic geometry.
