Abstract: Bernstein-Gelfand-Gelfand (1973) and Demazure (1974) introduced the so-called divided difference operators acting on cohomology and K-theory of full flag varieties. These operators play an important role in the theory of Schubert calculus and representation of Hecke algebras. In this talk, we give a generalization of the construction of BGG/Demazure operators to partial flag varieties. The main idea is to interpret the Demazure operators in terms of elements in the shifted q=0 affine algebra. Finally, we calculate the action of those operators on the basis given by Kapranov exceptional collection.
