Abstract

In this article the authors obtain a novel result (Theorem 2.1) in connection with the unification of extensions (or generalizations) of a class of generating relations from a given class of quasi-bilinear generating relations for certain special functions by means of group-theoretic method based on the theory of one parameter group of continuous transformations.

Moreover, in Section 3, the importance of our main result (Theorem 2.1) has been clearly explained by its application on various special functions whereby a good number of results on the generalization (or extension) of a class of bilateral generating relations for the special functions under consideration are readily obtained which do not seem to appear before.
