A Valid Library Card is Required to check out or renew materials.
Where to check-out, renew or return books?
- Circulating materials can be checked-out, renewed or returned at either Circulation Desk.
- Books can also be returned at the drop box near the entrance of Library. Multimedia materials MUST be returned at Circulation Desk.
- Recalled books cannot be renewed.

Recall a Book
- You may place an online recall for a book which has been checked out by searching the title in the Sinica Catalog on the web page and then choose Reservation options.

Books Not Found in the Stacks
- For an item neither in the stacks nor checked out, you may request a search by completing a trace request form, available at the Circulation Desk or online.
- A full trace for a missing book may take as long as two weeks, many of these books are found within one week.
- You will be notified of the results of the request.
Books recalled
- When receiving a recall notification for a book you have checked out, please return it by the due date indicated in the recall notification. Not doing so will cause your borrowing privilege being withheld till this book is returned.
Fine notices for long overdue items
- When receiving a bill of fine/replacement for long overdue items, please contact librarians or email library@math.sinica.edu.tw.
