Introduction
The library carries an extensive collection of various materials to support and promote mathematical research; the print collection includes over 57,000 volumes of books, over 1,050 western language periodical titles (with 27 sets traced back to the 19th century), around 250 Chinese and Japanese periodical titles and over 140 titles of videocassettes; the digital collection includes over 500 e-journal titles, MathSci Net & Compact Math CD-ROM databases. It has long been working cooperatively and collaboratively with other peer institutions. It has an on-going publication exchange program with over 500 institutions worldwide.
The library is sponsored by Institute of Mathematics, Academia Sinica and Mathematics Research Promotion Center, National Science and Technology Council. It opens to the mathematical community as well as the general public.
