| Abstract | The present are the notes for the author's talk given in the Conference on Diophantine
Problems and Arithmetic Dynamics held at Academia Sinica, Taipei, June
24-28, 2013. The purposes are two-folds. The first is to introduce some background
on the problem of density of the ordinary locus of the modulo p of certain Shimura
varieties. The second aim is to show new results about the ordinary locus in reduction
modulo p of the Hilbert-Siegel moduli spaces. This is a survey article of the
current status of the aforementioned problem.
