On Thermal transpiration

  • Abstract : Thermal transpiration is a flow induced by boundary temperature gradient in diluted gases. It is fascinating because it can not be explained by fluid dynamics. It is a result of subtle effects of boundary conditions in Kinetic theorem. We will review this phenomenon as well as some mathematical results on it.
