  • Abstract : In this talk we will go over sections 2-4 of the survey article of Mars and Springer. Specifically, we first define and prove some properties of Kummer local systems and then define generalized hecke algebras. Then we define and prove some properties about a certain class of perverse sheaves on G, which will be used in the construction of character sheaves in the next talk.
