- Abstract : Local Arthur packets consist of local components of automorphic representations. In the study of automorphic representations, it is often important to understand the properties of a local representation through the local Arthur packets to which it belongs. However, a local representation may lie in multiple local Arthur packets, which causes difficulty, but also provides extra structure for these kinds of problems.
In this talk, I will first describe the intersection phenomenon for local Arthur packets of p-adic classical groups. Then, I will explain its application in the following three problems: (1) Vogan conjecture on p-adic ABV-packets, (2) upper bounds on wavefront sets, and (3) the unitary dual problems. I will put an emphasis on the interaction among these topics. This is based on a collection of joint work with C. Cunningham, A. Hazeltine, D. Jiang, B. Liu, M. Ray, F. Shahidi, B. Xu and Q. Zhang.
