- This program is only open to citizens of Taiwan (R.O.C.).
I. Program Aims
Our institute provides 1-year traineeship for youth individuals who aim to pursue their interests in mathematics.
II. Qualification
Graduates or those will graduate within 1 year (undergraduate/postgraduate) who major in mathematics or related fields.
III. Required Documents for Application
For those applicants who are qualified and aim to conduct research works, please have all the following documents ready in a PDF file and send via E-mail:
1. A transcript of undergraduate study (and postgraduate study).
2. Resume (include E-mail address, phone number, postal address, passport-size photo). Applicants who are still in the military service must state clearly the finish date of the service.
3. Research status and a detail research plan.
4. A certificate of foreign language abilities (such as TOEFL/IELTS/GRE/sGRE/GMAT) will be good additional references.
In addition,
5. At least 2 letters of recommendations. Applicants are requested to notify professors to send the letters directly to huangshuchuen@math.sinica.edu.tw before the deadline.

Deadline: Noon 12pm, Monday, April 14th, 2025.
We won't inform you if your document set is not completed, and the application won’t be considered.
Candidates with qualified documents will receive interview notice. Please bring the application documents for references.
IV. Internship
Duration: 1 year; 1st July, 2025 - 30th June, 2026.
The starting date for those finishing their military service after July 2025 could be rearranged.
Each candidate who passes the program will receive a certificate from the Institute of Mathematics, Academia Sinica.
V. Remuneration
The stipend is based on the remuneration standard of Academia Sinica.
