Quantum vertex algebras from geometry

  • Abstract : In an ongoing project with Emile Bouaziz, we follow Joyce’s construction in generalized cohomologies to produce braided vertex algebras. This is a special case of Borcherds’ bicharacter construction of quantum vertex algebras. I will present some structural results, examples, and connections to usual vertex algebras. Due to a better computational framework, we expect this to determine K-theoretic Virasoro constraints.
