Abstract : The filtration method, initiated by Faltings and Wüstholz and further developed by Evertse–Ferretti, Corvaja–Zannier, Levin, Ru, Autissier, and Ru–Vojta, represents a central theme in the modern development of Diophantine approximation. The breakthrough achieved by Ru and Vojta has led to numerous significant applications. In this talk, we will introduce the main ideas of the filtration method and discuss some of its applications to the study of integral points.
