A survey about the filtration method in K-stability and Diophantine approximation

Abstract : In this talk, I will give a survey of the filtration method used in the study of K-stability and Diophantine approximation. I will focus on the filtration appeared in the proof of the Fujita-Li's criterion for K-stability, the Evertse-Ferretti's filtration, as well as the Autissier's filtration used by Ru-Vojta in Diophantine approximation. In particular, I will compare the Evertse-Ferretti's filtration with the Autissier's filtration by linking them to the "monomial filtration" for the vector spaces of the homogeneous polynomials of degree m in n+1 variables.
