Remarks on the disproof of the unit distance conjecture

  • Abstract : I will discuss the recent OpenAI-generated counterexample to the Erdős unit distance conjecture, including how an analytic number theorist might interpret the proof. If time permits I will also touch upon the subsequent sum-product developments.
