- Abstract :
In this talk, I will discuss the Kazhdan–Lusztig isomorphism and Lusztig’s construction of canonical bases in equivariant K-theory. The former gives a geometric realization of the extended affine Hecke algebra in terms of the equivariant K-theory of the Steinberg variety. Through this isomorphism, the canonical basis of the periodic module for the extended affine Hecke algebra can be realized on the K-theoretic side. If time permits, I will also discuss the conjectural generalization to Springer fibers associated with arbitrary nilpotent elements. The talk is mainly based on Lusztig’s paper Bases in Equivariant K-Theory.
