  • Abstract : This is a joint work with Yoshio Sone. Transient behavior of the flow field around a thin wedge that starts to move impulsively in its plane with a supersonic speed from a state at rest is studied on the basis of the linearized Euler equations. The nature and existence proof of the solution are given.
