Abstract : In this talk we will present the construction of a discrete shock profile for a first order conservative finite difference scheme. The highlight of this construction is due to the resonance of numerical grid points and nonlinear wave speed. It gives rise a "Diophantine number condition" on the speed of the shock wave.
